About the Role
The post is for a postdoctoral researcher in the Endothelial Signalling group. This is a fixed-term 3-year position.
You should be independent, self-motivated, have a PhD or equivalent qualification, experienced in investigating signalling pathways and mechanisms using in vitro cell and molecular biology techniques, and in transgenic mouse models. Experience in metabolomic analysis is desired but not essential.
About the Project
You will be part of the expanding group of Dr Raimondi at the William Harvey Research Institute. The William Harvey Research Institute was ranked in the top 5 UK Medical Schools in the 2014 UK Research Excellence Framework. The lab focuses on the interplay between signalling, mitochondria homeostasis and metabolism in endothelial cells in vascular homeostasis and disease. The project will investigate the role of the mitochondrial transporter ABCB8 in endothelial signalling, metabolism and atherosclerosis.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hrs/week), fixed term appointment for 3 years, with an expected start date of September 2021. The salary will be Grade 4 - £ 34,220 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
