About the Role
Duties of the post will include developing exciting games-with-a-purpose for mobile phones or social media platforms to be used by thousands of players to generate data for NLP; leading and co-authoring the outputs of the project; contributing to the dissemination of research findings to stakeholders and audiences, including helping to maintain the project’s web page.
You should hold a postgraduate degree in game development, preferably for mobile or social media platforms. Strong programming skills, particularly in languages for game and web development such as Unity or PhP, are also essential.
You need to have good understanding and experience setting up and maintaining online games played by large numbers of players, and extensive experience with game development for mobile or social media platforms. Experience with games-with-a-purpose and/or gamification, and with graphic design and HCI, are desirable.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment and is available immediately until 31 Aug 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £31,613 - £33,324 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
