About the Role
Applications are invited for an Education Services Officer to join the School’s Education Services team, which provides support through the student lifecycle from enrolment to graduation. The post-holder has responsibility for co-ordinating effective and efficient support for the administration and delivery of taught programmes, conveying a helpful, positive image to all those who deal with or work within the School.
The post holder will deputise for the Education Services Manager, and will manage quality assurance procedures and module registration, co-ordinate e-learning provision, act as Secretary to the School’s Teaching and Learning Committee and have day-to-day supervision of the School’s two Education Services Administrators. The role is vital in enabling the School to deliver an effective service to students and staff.
The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or have equivalent work experience. The post-holder should be able to demonstrate significant experience of working in a Higher Education environment on student administration, and experience of dealing effectively with people in a University or similar environment with a customer-focused approach. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate an ability to organise and prioritise both their own and other team members’ workloads, develop strong relationships within and outside Queen Mary, working both independently and as part of a team.
About the School
One of five Schools in the Faculty of Science and Engineering, the School of Mathematical Science has an exceptionally strong research presence across the spectrum of areas within Pure, Applied Mathematics and Statistics. The School is structured around seven research groups and has approximately 1200 undergraduate students, 100 postgraduate taught students and 70 PhD students together with a number of lively student-led societies including our award-winning Mathematics Society.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, fixed term appointment for 12 months, with an expected start date of March 2021. The starting salary will be Grade 4, in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
