About the Role
We are seeking to hire a Reporting Systems Analyst and we are looking for a subject matter expert in collating data and information to create dashboards that enabled improved performance and decision making.
The role is responsible using their relationship building, data and analytical skills and understanding of the HE sector to work with colleagues in both academic departments and in professional services to help them make the most of available data, to improve data quality, make evidence based decisions and to enhance Queen Mary’s strategy and planning processes. The dashboards to be maintained and developed cover a broad range of functions, including institutional KPIs, admissions, student engagement and IT performance. As a Reporting Systems Analyst you will have extensive experience of a range of data extraction and data visualization technologies. This is a challenging and important position for a bright, motivated and enthusiastic person. The role will be a major contributor to the successful delivery of the Queen Mary Strategy 2030.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or able to demonstrate significant experience in the development and maintenance of dashboards. Strong skills and experience in the following skillsets are essential:
· Experience of extracting data from source systems and transforming it ready for presentation
· Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in PowerBI
· Experience of regular maintenance of dashboards
· Ability to work with both technical and non-technical people.

The post is full time, fix term appointment for 12 months. Salary is on our Grade 4 scale and will be in the range £34,220 to £40,194 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
