About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to author, develop and implement related BBR policies, procedures and Protocols and to recruit patients to the BBR; this will be achieved by obtaining the consent of patients managed by Cardiac Services at Barts Health NHS Trust so as to procure and process their healthcare data and physical samples which should also allow for future contact or follow up after their recruitment into new research studies.

About You
The successful candidate is expected to be educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent experience. Also a clinically competent and a highly motivated individual. 

About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Bart’s BioResource (BBR) is part of Barts Health NHS Trust and the William Harvey Research Institute at Queen Mary University of London.  It is a world leading pharmacological centre with cardiovascular disease as one of its therapeutic innovation areas.

The BBR consists of a coordinating team that is mainly responsible for the management and running of the largest cardiovascular bio-resource in the UK and EU.

The post is based at the West Smithfield Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £27,742- £34,220 per annum (pro-rata), inclusive of London Allowance.
