About the Role
To work as part of the Finance and Stores Team to provide logistical and technical support. You will manage the School’s Chemical Stores including the online stock system and stock levels, liaise and order consumables in support of teaching and research activity. You will work with chemicals and acids therefore need an understanding of procedures and health & safety.
You must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Substantial experience of working in a scientific store and handling hazardous substances/materials.
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory health and safety regulations and procedures
- Significant experience with finance and procurement procedures
- Proficient in standard IT applications including MS Office
- Knowledge of an online stock system

The post is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term appointment for 1 year, with an expected start date of February 2021. The salary will be Grade 4 in the range of £34,220 - £40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
