About the Role

Applications are invited for the role of Postdoctoral Research Associate. The successful candidate will work on an exciting research project involved in designing and testing of a new Extra-Corporal System.  This project is based on a collaboration between the NHS, Bart’s Heart Center, the CVDHub and SEMS Engineering. The project has three phases which interact as closely as possible: a rapid prototyping phase on basis of Computational Fluid Dynamics, a hardware design manly outsourced to the SEMS workshop, and a testing phase in the hospital. We aim to design three prototypes leading to a final design for further development.

About You

Applicants will have a PhD in a relevant subject (e.g. computational fluid dynamics) and should be skilled in computational fluid dynamics using Fluent or Abaqus, CAD/CAM design and experienced in evaluating new designs in a variety of experimental conditions.
