Applications are invited for an exciting, new role within the fast-paced Curriculum Operations Unit of Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

This role will deliver effective administrative and operational oversight of the Degree Apprenticeship in Clinical Education and liaise with the Queen Mary Degree Apprenticeship Project Manager on developing the programme, expanding employer partners and liaising with accrediting bodies.

The Apprenticeship & Postgraduate Manager is a member of the Curriculum Delivery Unit within IHSE, reporting to the Deputy Manager Curriculum Operations and working closely with the Academic Programme Leads. This is a diverse and demanding role whose key focus is the coordination of Degree Apprenticeship activity and will advise on the policies and procedures required for the programme’s effective delivery and expansion of the apprenticeship programme portfolio.

In addition the post holder will line manage two Curriculum Operations Administrators, ensuring effective administrative services to support the delivery of the related MA and PGCert in Education for Clinical Contexts, and the Physicians Associate Programme.

The post holder will work closely with academic and professional staff, employer partners and facilitating the needs of both academics and students. As such, with direct responsibility for day to day programme delivery, the post has significant reputational and operational impact.

The post is based at the Garrod Building in Whitechapel, London (though currently working from home as required). It is a 12 months fixed term full time role (35 hours per week) with an immediate start date. The starting salary will be Grade 4 in the range of £34,220-£40,194 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
