About the Role

Applications are sought for an Education Administrator to provide high-level and professional support in the administration of the Institute’s Educational Programmes. This includes undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research programmes, as well as numerous short courses. The post will be based in the Teaching Centre, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.

About You

We are looking for a motivated, organised, and professional individual, who can meet the challenges of working in a busy student-facing environment.  Essential requirements for this post include two A Levels at grades A-C and five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grades A*-C including English and Maths. Experience of working in Higher Education or a similar busy office environment is essential, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines. Experience of using relevant Higher Education computer systems would be advantageous. If you’re a team player, with good communication skills, attention to detail, and have an aptitude to problem solve, we would like to hear from you!

The Barts Cancer Institute (BCI) is a Cancer Research UK Centre of Excellence whose work aims to transform the lives of those with and at risk of cancer through innovative research in the laboratory, in patients and in populations. BCI is internationally renowned in many areas of cancer research and it combines ground-breaking basic research with the expertise of clinicians and clinician scientists.

The post is based at the Charterhouse Square Campus in London. It is full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment, with an expected start date in December 2020. The starting salary will be Grade 3, in the range of £27,742 - £34,220 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
