We are seeking a proactive leader who will inspire a team of Faculty Liaison Librarians and Academic Skills Enhancement staff as they further develop a portfolio of online and face-to-face learning opportunities for students of all disciplines and at all levels.

The Library Teaching and Learning Support team comprises 9.5 FTE staff, provides a critical liaison link between academic schools and Library Services, and actively supports teaching and learning activities across all five of Queen Mary’s London campuses, as well as transnational education in France, Malta, Greece and China, and a growing portfolio of fully online distance learning courses.


With outstanding communication skills, a strategic approach to service development, and an ability to seek out and harness innovation and best practice, you will be adept at working across team boundaries to provide responsive, high quality teaching and learning support services. You will have substantial experience of stakeholder engagement, and be able to demonstrate an excellent awareness of recent trends and developments in the design and delivery of digital, information and academic literacy skills to students in higher education settings, from foundation to postgraduate level. You will have an excellent track record of managing staff relationships to effect positive change, and of managing complex projects to a successful outcome. You will have a flexible and adaptable approach which allows you to respond effectively to operational and strategic challenges as they arise in a busy and rapidly evolving environment.


The post is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent appointment. Starting salary will be in the range of Grade 7 salary range of £55,840-£62,415 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
