The Language Centre within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film have an exciting opportunity for a Social Programme Assistant in the Language Centre.

As Social Programme Assistant, you will be responsible for the administration of a social programme for the Pre-Sessional participants, working closing with the Pre-Sessional Programme Convenor, and being the first point of contact for student queries relating to the social programme.

This is an exciting opportunity which is available to QMUL students, who are educated to GCSE level including Maths and English at C or above. Experience of dealing with enquiries and responding to non-routine issues, working efficiently under pressure and using MS Office, including Word, and social media for communication are also essential. You will also have knowledge of London and its social attractions and awareness of cultural differences.

The post is part time (17.5 hours per week - 0.5 FTE), temporary contract, available from 8 June to 9 September 2020. Salary will be around £2,800 for the full duration (hourly rate based at £12.17). Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata), pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
