We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to the Department of Chemistry who can develop and deliver high-quality teaching at all levels in our BSc and Master programs in Chemistry and/or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
For appointment to the lectureship, the post holder will:
- Deliver high quality teaching including making innovations in key aspects of teaching and learning
- Make important pedagogical contributions to the field
- Advance pedagogical knowledge through publications or other forms of scholarship or performance.
For appointment to the senior lectureship, the post holder will additionally:
- Contribute to the administration and leadership of key activities in the School.
All applicants must have appropriate subject knowledge and have the ability to deliver teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level and in large or small group settings. An excellent academic background with a PhD (or equivalent) in Chemistry or Medicinal/Pharmaceutical Chemistry is essential. At Senior Lecturer level a record of mentoring and developing staff is also required.

The post is full time and permanent with a start date of April 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter. The salary will be in the range of £42,433-52,833 (Lecturer) or £55,840- £62,415(Senior Lecturer) per annum and will be in accordance with experience and qualifications.
