The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is looking to appoint a Marketing and Communications Officer who will be responsible for managing and developing online and offline marketing channels for the School including web, social media, email and printed marketing materials. The post holder will contribute to the overall School and QMUL market presence, and will work collaboratively with colleagues across the QMUL Directorate of Marketing and Communications and in other academic departments at Queen Mary, to share insights and develop joint initiatives.
To apply, you should have an Honours degree (or equivalent) and experience working in marketing or communications, with an understanding of marketing strategies. You must be able to maintain and develop websites using a Content Management System (CMS), and it would be an advantage if you have experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) to prepare and deliver communications.
This post requires excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language, fluidity in writing style and editing skills. Excellent IT skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office software are also required, as well as the ability to establish good working relations with colleagues at all levels.
This is a part time (28 hrs per week) and permanent post, and is available for an immediate start. The successful candidate will be required to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for working with young people and vulnerable adults.
The starting salary will be in the range of £34,330-£40,194 per annum (pro rata to £27,376-£32,155.20), inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave (pro rata) and occupational pension scheme.
