This post sits within the Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE), Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD). Applications are invited for a 14 hour per week Anatomy, Clinical & Communication Skills Fellow. This is a career development post at FY2/ST level to help teach the next generation of doctors. You will receive training in teaching from a team of passionate clinicians and teachers and as part of the post have opportunities for professional development in medical education.

 

Alongside teaching, you will also be given the opportunity to develop your own clinical skills with supervised clinical work and training within Barts Health NHS Trust and receive support when applying for clinical posts in a year’s time.

 

The post is part time and fixed term for 8 months. The intended start date is January 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range of £33,885 – £38,920 per annum, pro rata with additional London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave pro rata and NHS/USS pension schemes.

 

Alongside medical degree and two years clinical experience candidates are expected to demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching, show excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme
