About the Role

We are recruiting a Receptionist to work in the Residences Reception, which is in the heart of our student village on the Mile End Campus.  The Residences Reception is open 24/7 with overnight cover provided by the in-house Security Department.  Working from a fixed-work pattern of 5 days, across a 7 day week (Monday – Sunday), the post holder will report to the Residences Supervisor and will be part of the Residential Support Team.  

 

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience of reception work and have a strong commitment to customer care. 

 

Whilst the work pattern is fixed, there are times when the post holder must be flexible with their hours of work to cover busy periods, such as move-in weekend and open days.

The Residential Support Service is a section within Commercial Services and is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate. The department’s purpose is to enhance the well-being of students living in QM accommodation, encouraging a spirit of community that supports residents in their academic and personal lives.

This post is based at the Mile End campus in London.  It is part-time (20 hours per week), permanent appointment.  The starting salary will be grade 2, in the range of £22,212 - £27,034 (pro rata for part-time) plus a benefits package, inclusive of the London Allowance.
