Overview:

The Global Opportunities Office (GOO) are recruiting a Head of Summer School as a maternity cover post.

The Head of Summer School will sit within the Global Opportunities team, part of the Global Engagement Office within the Marketing and Communications Directorate.  The role has specific responsibility for the strategic development of the Queen Mary Summer School. The post will have ownership over the management, marketing, recruitment, student admissions, reporting, enrolment, academic development and delivery of the Summer School, ensuring the efficient running of the Summer School and optimising student satisfaction.

The position is full-time, fixed-term for up to 12 months and is available as a result of maternity cover. While it is expected that you will hold the role for the full period, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month. This role may be offered as a secondment opportunity.

The salary is £47,325 - £52,833 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
