The Faculty of Science and Engineering has an opportunity to support the development of international partnerships and the engagement of prospective overseas postgraduate students. This is an exciting role, working closely with the Dean for International, to support the effective development of international activities.

The post-holder will work closely with Schools in the Faculty, Central Admissions and the Global Engagement Office to plan, manage and implement effective services and support for recruiting postgraduate research (PGR) students applying for international scholarships. The post-holder’s first area of focus will be to support students from Mexico under the prestigious CONACyT scholarship programme. It is expected the role will broaden to support other postgraduate sponsorship programmes.

This opportunity will suit a proactive candidate with a strong delivery focus in complex organisation and an understanding of key postgraduate processes, as well as research and innovation processes, cultures and environments. Strong relationship development, communication and listening skills to build excellent working relationships are essential. Ideal candidates will have an understanding, and ideally experience, of the processes involved in international scholarship schemes. 

This is a full time, 1 year Secondment or Fixed Term Contract based at the Queen Mary Mile End Campus, a thriving area in the East of London. The full time salary is £34,220-40,194 per annum.  Benefits include 30 days annual leave plus 4 closure days, season ticket loan and a well-regarded occupational pension scheme.
