About the Role
Working within the HR Services team, this role supports the provision of day-to-day HR transactional activity for Schools within our Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Science and Engineering.
You will lead a client-focused team of administrators to deliver an outstanding administrative HR service. This includes responding to operational queries from job applicants and employees, overseeing a wide range of standardised processes for the whole employment lifecycle, and ensuring HR records, systems and databases are kept up-to-date and accurate at all times. You will also be committed to the continuous improvement of processes and systems. Exceptional customer service is a key focus of this role.
The Team Leader role has a focus on recruitment activity, ensuring that our job advertisements and job profiles are fit for purpose.
You will have significant administrative experience working in a HR department and knowledge of good HR practice. You will also have the ability to work accurately and efficiently, paying excellent attention to detail. Experience of direct interaction with clients in a demanding environment, providing excellent customer service as the first point of contact, and knowledge of UKVI Points Based System and Immigration Regulations are essential.

This post is full-time and fixed-term for up to 12 months and is available as a secondment opportunity and is based at our Mile End campus.
The role has become available as a result of maternity cover and while it is expected that you will hold the role for the full period, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month.
The starting salary will be in the range from £34,220 - £40,194 per annum, depending on skills and experience. The start date for the role is as soon as possible.
