The Marketing and Communications Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audience, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants.
The purpose of this post is to devise an internal communication strategy for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences with support from the Faculty Communications Manager, revamp the Faculty web site and coordinate high-level events across the Faculty.
The successful candidate will work effectively with the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Leadership Team and colleagues in Schools and Professional Services to improve communications both internally and externally, working collaboratively to increase the impact of our events.
Candidates should have experience of working in Higher Education or a similar environment with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience of organizing and running events is also essential.
The post is full-time and fixed term for 6 months. Starting salary will be in the range £34,220 - £40,194 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, excluding public holidays, occupational pension scheme and interest-free season ticket.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
