The Marketing and Communications Directorate is responsible for raising the awareness and reputation of Queen Mary among its target audiences, and for increasing the quality and quantity of Queen Mary applicants.
We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated International Higher Education professional to join our Global Engagement team as Head of International Partnerships.
The post holder, who must have significant experience of International Higher Education, primarily within a partnerships context and ideally with some experience of TNE, will play a lead role in delivering Queen Mary’s Global Engagement Strategy 2019-22.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident individual who is able to lead a small team that is managing multiple partnerships with leading institutions across the world. Skills in relationship management are vital given the role requires building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority. The post holder will need to work across the university with both academic and professional services staff, to ensure we are well positioned to deliver on both small and large scale projects.
Working with colleagues across the wider Marketing and Communications Directorate and the office of the Vice Principal (International), the post holder will be expected to play a lead role in delivering the Global Engagement ambitions within the Queen Mary’s 2030 Strategy.
The post is a permanent full time appointment based at our Mile End campus in East London. The role will include overseas travel of no more than 8 weeks travel per year. Starting salary will be £47,325 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, a comprehensive pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
