Clinical Trials Co-Ordinator

Maternity cover

(Part-time – 0.6 FTE)


Applications are invited for a Clinical Trials Co-Ordinator to support the development of a major new Centre within the Institute of Dentistry. The post holder will play a key role in the set- up and ongoing management of new clinical trials in the Centre for Oral Clinical Research (COCR).   The post holder will provide trials management advice and support to applicants when preparing the research dossiers towards REC and HRA review and when necessary to MHRA. The post holder will be conducting due-vigilance review and revision of initial trial documentation and ongoing amendments; including consideration of the sponsorship conditions, sponsor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or the different partners’ and collaborators’ local Working Practices (WPs) according to which trials can be implemented. 


The post is part time up for a period of 12 months for maternity cover, starting from March 2020. Starting salary will be in the range £38,084 - £44,807 (pro rata) per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ (pro rata) annual leave, pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan and family-friendly working.


This post is available as a result of maternity leave, and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month.


Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
