Applications are sought for an Information Governance Lead to provide strategic direction and guidance on the diverse range of topics and issues that constitutes the Information Governance (IG) agenda within the institutes. The post will be based in the Director’s Office, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London.

Essential requirements for this post include a degree or equivalent level of professional qualification in the subject area, evidence of continuous professional development and an in depth understanding of the application of Information Governance in a healthcare/research environment. Additional specialist knowledge would be an advantage. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all staff at all levels and across organisational boundaries are also essential.

The post is full time for 24 months. Starting salary will be in the range £38,084-£44,807 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.

The Barts Cancer Institute requires that applicants invited for interview will need to provide all certificates to confirm their qualifications (specified in the Job Description).
