Overview:

The Academic Registry and Council Secretariat (ARCS) is seeking a Contracts Manager to provide a professional service to colleagues on a wide range of contractual, legal and administrative matters. ARCS has responsibility for the governance and management of a range of partnership activity, compliance and legal services. The team works closely with the three faculties and professional services departments to provide timely advice and support on core business and initiatives which underpin the strategic aims of the university.

The Contracts Manager will use expert knowledge to negotiate, draft and review contracts,  providing advice on the resolution of issues and the management of risk.  Candidates will require a legal qualification and demonstrable experience of contract drafting and negotiation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility and an understanding of risk management are also essential requirements of the role. The post holder will also support the Directorate with a range of governance, legal and compliance matters.

The post is full time (35 hours per week) and permanent. Part-time work will also be considered. Starting salary will be in the range of £47, 325 - £52, 833 (pro rata) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
