Overview:

We have a full-time vacancy for a suitable candidate to fulfil a challenging and rewarding role within our Joint Research Management Office.  This is a central office which supports all research undertaken in Queen Mary University and Bart’s Health NHS Trust.  The office comprises of a Pre-Award Section, Post Award and Governance Section. 

 

The post holder will be a senior member of the Post Award team working closely with the Post Award Manager and the Costing and Contracts officer responsible for Charity funded projects. The purpose of this role is to provide a professional service with respect to a range of financial and partnership management, including project and budget set-up, Partner due-diligence, building partner relationships, project staff and student appointment authorisation and compliance to funder and organisational terms and conditions. The post reports to the Post Award Manager.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong financial background. They must have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills and demonstrate a strong team-work ethic. This role demands the holder to work on their own initiative and have the ability to manage several projects at once. Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous.

 

This is a full-time permanent position. The salary range offered for this role is from £34,220 - £38,084 per annum depending on skills and experience and is inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, access to a pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
