Applications are invited for the role of Clinical Senior Lecturer (Teaching and Scholarship) in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service. 

The Blizard Institute wish to consolidate their highly successful teaching delivery in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine by adding the role of Clinical Senior Lecturer (TS) 0.6 FTE for the distance learning MSc programme in Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine, focusing in particular on programme co-ordination, assessment and dissertations. Senior teaching faculty lead in the development, implementation and continual improvement of our Emergency and Resuscitation Medicine programme to provide a rich learning environment fostering the success of our students.  

Essential requirements include a UK-registered basic medical qualification and FRCS, or equivalent; considerable clinical experience of Emergency Medicine, trauma care or related disciplines, demonstrable experience in teaching medical students and junior medical and nursing staff; and experience in management and service development. 

The post is a part time (21 hours per week) appointment, available immediately for an indefinite period. Starting salary will be at CL11 (£56,394 per annum, pro rata) plus London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
