Applications are sought for a postdoctoral research assistant to investigate the role of proangiogenic agents in heart failure. The successful applicant will have extensive expertise in mouse and zebrafish models of heart and heart failure; mouse models of TAC, and MI; mouse models of treatment with TAC and MI; Doppler ultrasound in heart failure and MI. The research will be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.
Essential requirements for this post include: expert experience in mouse and zebrafish models of heart and heart failure; mouse models of TAC, and MI; mouse models of treatment with TAC and MI; Doppler ultrasound in heart failure and MI. Experience with blood vessel moulators would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post is full time and for 18 months starting from 1st October 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615 - £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
