Applications are sought for a Deputy Tissue Bank Operations Manager to manage tissue acquisition, storage, material requests and release, data verification, line management of junior staff. The successful applicant will have significant expertise in handling solid tissue and bodily fluids. The research will be based in the Centre for Tumour Biology, Barts Cancer Institute, Charterhouse Square within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.
Essential requirements for this post include degree in biological science or equivalent (2.1 or above) significant expertise in handling solid tissue and bodily fluids and extensive experience in using and maintaining specimen tracking database and clinical datasets .A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post holder will report to Tissue Bank Principal Investigator (Breast Cancer Now)
The post is full time, fixed term for 36 months. Starting salary will be in the £33,615-£39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
