The Global Opportunities Office is looking to recruit a Study Abroad Manager (Marketing & Recruitment).
Global Opportunities (GO) exists to promote and manage inbound and outbound mobility programmes, which allow Queen Mary students and staff to study, work and travel overseas. These programmes include the fee-paying Study Abroad Programme (incoming only) as well as Erasmus+, International Exchanges and Summer Schools.
The Study Abroad Manager is responsible for implementing and (in collaboration with the Global Opportunities Programme Managers, Senior Management, Schools and Professional Services) developing Queen Mary’s marketing and recruitment strategy for incoming fee paying students enrolling on the Study Abroad Programme.
A significant part of the role will include the implementation of effective marketing strategies to optimise income generation from recruitment to QMUL’s Study Abroad programme. The Study Abroad Manager will also provide administrative support for the day to day administration of this and other mobility programmes managed by the Global Opportunities Office, ensuring the efficient running of these programmes and optimizing student satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident individual who is able to work under their own initiative. Skills in relationship management are particularly important given the role requires building effective relationships with numerous external stakeholders. The post holder will need to work across the university with both academic and professional services staff, to ensure we are well positioned to maximise our Study Abroad recruitment potential.
The position is full-time and permanent, based on our Mile End Campus. The starting salary is £39,483 - £41,682 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. The role will involve approximately 4-6 weeks of overseas travel per year. Benefits include 30 days annual leave and a pension scheme.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
