We have a new exciting opportunity to join a great team and be part of the University's HR Department as an HR Assistant, delivering an effective HR service to line managers, staff and prospective job applicants.

The HR Assistant, working within the HR Recruitment and Operations team, will be responsible for a broad range of administrative activities that provide a quality, timely and customer focused HR transactional service to key stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate previous administrative experience, with good written and communication skills and an attention to detail. A good knowledge of standard software packages (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel) is essential. Previous experience working with HR databases is desirable but not essential. This is a busy role and candidates will also need to demonstrate the ability to multi-task and prioritise work accordingly.

The post is full-time and fixed-term for 8 months.  We would like the successful candidate to be able to start work as soon as possible and the post will be based at Mile End and Charterhouse Square.

The starting salary will be in the range from £21,696 - £26,556 per annum pro rata, depending on experience. The benefits package for this post includes 30 days’ leave per annum pro rata and pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
