The School of Languages, Linguistics and Film is looking to appoint a member of the team to provide an efficient and professional service to support the day-to-day work of the School, the Head of Administration and PA/Events Coordinator, as well as ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the School offices. You will be the first point of contact for students and visitors and will provide an excellent standard of customer care and convey a positive image to all those who deal with, or work within the School. You will also be expected to provide administrative support to colleagues within the School.

You will be educated to ‘A level’ or equivalent, and have strong customer service skills and administrative experience working in a busy and demanding environment. As a skilled communicator, you will be able to liaise effectively with a range of customers and staff at all levels of the organisation. Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and working as part of a team, are also essential.

The post is part time and permanent, and available from May. Starting salary range will be £21,800 - £22,961 per annum (equivalent full time salary £27,251 - £28,702). Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave (pro rata), a pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
