Overview:

Applications are sought for a Finance Officer to provide effective and efficient financial administrative support to the Centre Operations Manager. The post will be based in the Centre for Experimental Cancer Medicine, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.

Essential requirements for this post include an Honours graduate degree in a relevant subject or considerable equivalent experience. The postholder must have experience of financial management in a large organisation and excellent orgnaisational skills. Previous experience of managing research/clinical trial budgets would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to work in a high prressurised, fast paced environment and working to tight deadlines are also essential.

The post is full time on a permanent contract. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615 - £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

The Barts Cancer Institute requires applicants to provide all certificates at interview to confirm their qualifications (specified in the Job Description).

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.  Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
