Queen Mary University of London is recruiting for an Analyst (Academic Performance) to join the newly created Academic Performance team within the Strategic Planning Office. The role will be pivotal in supporting the use of data and information to drive improved performance and decision making throughout the institution, specifically focusing on supporting work associated with the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

This is an opportunity for an analyst with an appetite for learning and discovery to join a driven and dynamic team and to support all work required for REF, undertake data analyses, modelling and reporting in support of related cross cutting activities and to provide general administrative support. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of planning in the Higher Education sector, or similar (e.g. government or other public sector organisation);
  • is numerate and skilled at analysing and interpreting data for audiences with varying levels of knowledge;
  • has a high level of interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues across the University;
  • has the ability to integrate into an innovative and customer focused professional team.

The position is a permanent post. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615 to £39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
