The Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) at Queen Mary University of London specialises in the knowledge and skills in commercial law that can be placed at the service of government, public bodies, overseas institutions, the legal profession, industry and commerce.

The Centre for Commercial Law Studies is a leading research Centre and hosts internationally excellent institutes in the fields of international commercial law and information technology law.

The post-holder will participate and actively contribute to research projects exploring the role and impact of Artificial Intelligence / Technology on international commercial and IT law. The post-holder will be given time (20%) to develop their own research projects. 

The post holder should have a PhD in a relevant discipline, and be able to demonstrate ability to conduct research taking a variety of methodological approaches, including doctrinal, theoretical and empirical. The candidates should also be able to take an active role in the dissemination and impact activities, such as organisation of conferences, engagement with non-academic stakeholders and use of social media.

 This post is full time and the starting salary will be in the range of £33,615-£39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
