Applications are sought for a Research Technician to provide technical support to the Flow Cytometry Core Services Facility to enable BCI members to efficiently carry out their research projects. The position will be based in the Flow Cytometry Facility, Barts Cancer Institute, within the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, Queen Mary, University of London.
The postholder must have a BSc or equivalent in a biological or related science. Essential requirements for this post include experience in the field of Flow Cytometry. Experience of working in a biomedical research laboratory, as well as experience with biochemical techniques, would be an advantage. A demonstrated ability to communicate well, work within a team and maintain good laboratory records are also essential.
The post is full time, fixed term position for 36 months. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615-£39,483 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and an interest free season ticket loan.
The Barts Cancer Institute requires that applicants invited for interview will need to provide all certificates to confirm their qualifications (specified in the Job Description).
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave ot remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
