An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Queen Mary University of London’s Directorate of Marketing and Communications for this key role that will be vital to the continued expansion of the School of Economics and Finance. The School of Economics and Finance is highly regarded as one of the top economics schools in the UK. Economics was ranked 10th in the UK for research power in the UK Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, and in the top 25 in the UK in the QS World Rankings and QS World Rankings subject tables 2018 and The Complete University Guide 2019.
Queen Mary is becoming ever more popular with UK, EU and international students. This role will help optimise income generation from the recruitment of UK, EU and overseas students to the School of Economics and Finance.
We are looking for candidates who have a strong all-round marketing background including the ability to write persuasive copy for print and online; market research, data analysis and report writing skills; the ability to formulate marketing strategy and translate that into operational plans; and to communicate with confidence across organisational levels and boundaries to build relations with key contacts across the School of Economics and Finance, and with other internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have strong experience of working in higher education marketing or a similar field, and managing projects and budgets. A self-motivated professional with the ability to organise and prioritise their own workload, the candidate should also be able to travel in the UK, EU and overseas to assist with recruitment activities.
The post is a full time (35 hours per week permanent role, with an expected start date of April 2019. Starting salary will be in the range of £37,411-£44,015 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
