Senior Lecturer in Trauma Sciences (Non-Clinical)

Applications are invited for the post of Non-clinical Senior Lecturer in Trauma Sciences within the Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma in the Blizard Institute, Queen Mary University of London. The Blizard Institute is the largest institute of Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, and aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.

The Blizard Institute wish to consolidate their highly successful teaching delivery in Trauma Sciences by adding the role of Senior Lecturer Trauma Sciences (Teaching and Scholarship) for the distance learning MSc programmes in Trauma Sciences, Trauma Sciences Military and Humanitarian, and Orthopaedic Trauma Sciences. Senior teaching faculty lead in the development of our Trauma Sciences programmes, their implementation and continual improvement to provide a rich learning environment fostering the success of our students.

Essential requirements include a postgraduate qualification (PhD/DPhil) in relevant subject area or equivalent vocational experience; PGCAP, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or equivalent qualification; and experience in research and/or scholarship with an appropriate publication record.

The post is available immediately for an indefinite period. Starting salary will be in the range £54,853 - £61,311 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
