Research Fellow and Project Manager (Lankelly Chase/Synergi)

(0.6 FTE, 3 days a week)

We are seeking an ambitious and skilled Research Fellow/Project Manager, with high-level expertise in all aspects of administration and governance matters linked to research project management, understanding of research processes; and an understanding of ethnic inequalities and severe mental illness literature, as well as the related policy landscape and factors.

Lankelly Chase project which has been funded in order to establish a centre of excellence on ‘ethnicity, inequalities and mental illness'. This project is led by Professor Kamaldeep Bhui at Queen Mary University of London, working closely with Professor James Nazroo at the University of Manchester and Ms Joy Francis, Executive Director of Words of Colour Productions.

The postholder will work closely with the PI, ensuring the QMUL project management tasks are efficiently completed on a day to day basis. The post holder will show excellent project management and administrative experience and expertise, including proficient and nuanced communication skills with a range of stakeholders, prioritisation skills, be experienced in drafting and preparing documents, taking minutes and monitoring and assuring agreed individual and team action so that the multi-site team functions as a cohesive unit.

Please note that extensive travel will be required as part of the project.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months initially with a possibility of extension.

Salary will be in the range of £37,411 - £44,015 per annum (pro-rata) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days (pro rata) annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
