Applications are invited for a post of Senior Data Analyst to work within the Clinical Effectiveness Group (CEG) in the Centre for Primary Care and Public Health (CPCPH), Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. CEG is an innovative team of healthcare professionals which aims to reduce illness and death through the promotion of evidence based health care for people with chronic disease in East London.
The purpose of the job is to contribute to a range of research projects based on common chronic diseases (CVD, diabetes, CKD, COPD) within CEG, and contribute to other emerging research collaborations which will include a variety of topics such as antibiotic resistance, viral hepatitis, HIV and other research projects as agreed with the PIs. The post holder will be competent in data extraction from EMIS Web and will be provided with training where necessary.
You will possess a higher degree in a relevant subject (MSc or higher), have some experience of research methods and a good knowledge of data management and handling numeric data in Excel and STATA or other statistical package.
This post is a part-time (0.6 FTE) and fixed term appointment for eighteen months, starting in January 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter. Starting salary will be in the range of £37,411 to £44,015 per annum, pro rata, inclusive of London Allowance. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
