Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is looking for an outstanding fundraiser and team leader who, in the new role of Head of Development, will deliver a significant and sustainable increase in philanthropic income through their own fundraising activities and by managing a small team of professionals engaged in regular giving, major gifts and legacy giving.
This key position will play a pivotal role in developing new philanthropic opportunities across QMUL, working closely with the Director of Development, the Principal and his Senior Executive and the University’s leadership group to secure philanthropic support for the University’s strategic priorities.
QMUL is one of the UK’s leading research intensive universities, a member of the Russell Group, and ranked within the top 120 universities in the world. Based in east London, a short distance from the City, Canary Wharf and the Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park, QMUL combines an international reputation with a commitment to its local community.
This role will play an important part in an expanding team, which is seeking to increase philanthropic donations and gifts in kind, such as volunteering, in support of QMUL’s strategic objectives.
The post is full time and permanent (starting as soon as possible). Starting salary will be £54,853 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
