Applications are invited for the role of Team Leader – Library Facilities and Frontline Services to be responsible for all areas of the study environment. Also to share responsibility for managing the frontline services, who deal with enquiries about membership, circulation, inter-lending, resource discovery and facilities.

A genuine commitment to high standards of service is required in this role. The roleholder must be educated to A level, or equivalent, and have substantial experience of working in a HE library, as well as experience of managing teams in a frontline environment. Additionally they should have excellent communication and problem solving skills.

The post is mainly based at Mile End Library, also sometimes working at Whitechapel and West Smithfield campuses.

The post is full time (35 hours per week) to include some evening and weekend working and is fixed-term until 31 July 2019.  Starting salary will be in the range £33,615 - £39,483 per annum pro rata inclusive of London Allowance.  Benefits include 30 days annual leave pro rata and pension scheme.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

Selection will be by panel interview, a short presentation and an assessment activity.
