The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is an exciting and dynamic environment and is home to over 1,100 undergraduate students, 300 postgraduate students, and 220 PhD students and 110 teaching and research staff.

A vacancy has now arisen within the School’s Teaching Services Team to provide administrative support in relation to student activities at the Mile End campus in East London

In this role you will provide professional support for all taught students in the School of EECS. You should have substantial relevant experience of working in a University environment and must have experience of dealing effectively with people face-to-face with a customer oriented approach.  A detailed understanding of student support issues in higher education is essential as well as the ability to work with tact and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive or confidential issues.

The role requires high-level interpersonal skills including relationship building and the ability to work creatively with diverse teams and to communicate effectively using a range of media. You must be able to understand complex issues and problems and deliver practical solutions, working both independently and as part of a team.

The post is permanent and full time and available immediately. Starting salary will be in the range £33,615 - £39,483per annum inclusive of London Allowance.   Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefits pension scheme and an interest-free season ticket loan.
