The Organisational and Professional Development team exists to develop all staff in order to excel in their roles and develop their careers at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), and to support delivery of the People and Organisational Development Strategy.
QMUL16434 Organisational Development Project Manager (1 FTE)
We have a vacancy within our Organisation and Professional Development Team on a temporary basis for six months, for an Organisational Development Project Manager.
The Organisational Development Project Manager will manage and support implementation of key OD projects which are required to support delivery of the People and OD Strategy. There are two business critical OD projects which will need to be managed and delivered during the lifecycle of this role:
- QMUL Ways of Working: A behaviours framework which will apply to all staff across both academic and professional services roles.
- Staff Survey: The University has committed to implementing a full staff survey during Spring 2019.
The role holder will be expected to combine ‘pure’ project management activities with the ability to work on and deliver some aspects of the project directly, while also coordinating the work of others to ensure successful achievement of agreed outcomes. This will require the role holder to work with colleagues within the Organisational and Professional Development Team as well as colleagues across the University. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills and clear, confident communication. You will have a proven track record of successfully managing HR or OD projects, and will be able to demonstrate resilience and flexibility in meeting organisational needs.
The post is available on a temporary basis for a fixed term of six months. Salary will be within the range £46,489 to £51,899 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
