Queen Mary University of London seeks to recruit Application and Work Experience Adviser to join The Careers & Enterprise Centre to support the seasonal demand for advice from students and recent graduates.
Following training, the post holders will provide advice on a 1-1 basis on the fundamentals of CV, application form and personal statement writing. They will deliver tailored mock interviews and give advice on finding work experience opportunities and part time jobs. The successful applicants must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to give clear and concise feedback, demonstrate empathy and build rapport. Time management skills are also important due to strict appointment times.
The days and hours can be flexible, depending on candidate availability, however a minimum commitment of two days a week is required. The posts are term time only from October – February in the first instance. Previous experience of working with undergraduate students is desirable.
The hourly rate for the post is £14.93.
