Overview:

 

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual for the role of Assistant Registrar (Governance). This role is vital to the effective governance of Queen Mary. Working directly with members of the senior executive and our governing body, the role holder will: manage the Governance Team; support the work of Council and Senate; oversee our information governance arrangements; and support aspects of our student appeals and complaints processes.

You will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a high level of integrity and accountability, and the capability to build strong working relationships at the highest levels. You will also have significant experience of board or senior-level committee management and a sound understanding of the regulatory framework for UK higher education.

This will be a full-time, indefinite contract starting on or after 7 January 2019. Starting salary will be in the range £46,489–£51,899 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave plus four closure days, pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
