Non-Clinical Lecturer in Dental Materials

(Part time 0.6 FTE)

Applications are invited for the post of Non-Clinical Lecturer in Dental Materials, within the Centre for Oral Bioengineering.  The post holder will be expected to teach Dental Materials to BDS and postgraduate students and conduct research in Dental Materials.  Applicants will have a PhD in a relevant area and preference will be given to applicants who have a strong research track record.  The appointee will also interact with other departments throughout QMUL and externally and will ensure the delivery of high quality teaching and an excellent student experience.  The postholder will be expected to be proactive, innovative and exercise a high degree of responsibilities both in their teaching and their research.

The post is part time and fixed term for 3 years, starting March 2018 (or as soon as possible thereafter). Starting salary will be in the range £40,865 - £43,152 per annum (pro rata) inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave (pro rata), defined benefit pension scheme, interest-free season ticket loan and family-friendly working.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
