These posts sit within the Institute of Health Sciences Education at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD), part of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). We are looking to appoint a number of individuals with an educational background and experience within a healthcare setting to work with us in the delivery of the MSc in Physician Associate Studies. They will be part of the faculty aiming to be a leader in Physician Associate education in the UK as well as build an international reputation for PA education.

The Senior Lecturer post is designed for an experienced educator wishing to take part in curriculum development, lead and develop their own module(s), as well as supporting other module leads in providing leadership for a specific year of the programme. It provides an opportunity to further hone the candidate’s educational leadership skills within an excelling university environment.

The further 0.8fte split over 2 Lecturer posts provide an excellent opportunity for those interested in medical education to enhance and develop their teaching skills, go on to design and lead modules within a supportive environment, and join an expanding team of PA educators.

The successful candidates will be enthusiastic teachers, who can be flexible and dynamic. The posts provide an excellent opportunity for individuals to enhance and develop their teaching skills within a supportive environment, whilst simultaneously acquiring an in depth understanding of the potential future role PAs will play in the NHS.

The posts are part-time, permanent appointments, with starting salary, within the range £40,865 - £60,109 (pro-rata) dependent on experience and qualifications. Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave (pro rata), defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
