We are looking to appoint a Teaching and Learning Manager (Grade 6), to work in the School of Economics and Finance. This is a new post, designed to oversee and manage the delivery of the UG and PGT programmes within the School.

As a Teaching and Learning Manager, you will ensure that processes and procedures are in place so that administrative systems run smoothly for teaching activities and assessment. You will have a strategic role in the development of teaching, liaising with Directors of Taught Programmes, Senior Teaching Leads and Tutors to oversee and lead on recruitment, student support, Quality Assurance, ELearning, timetabling and assessment. Additionally, you will manage the teaching support team and ensure a professional service is provided to both staff and students.  

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, with significant experience of managing teaching activities/students within a higher education setting. You will also have experience of programme management at either UG or PGT level, and experience of managing staff. A proven ability to use your initiative to review processes and procedures and develop systems/solutions to enable efficient and effective management, and an ability to organise and prioritise your own workload and that of a team, are also essential.

The post is full time and permanent. The starting salary will be in the range of £45,577-50,881 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.
