Overview:

The School of Economics and Finance are looking to recruit a Finance Officer, who will have a key strategic role to play in being responsible for efficient and pro-active financial management in a large and complex financial environment. The School has a large teaching programmes as well as active and vibrant research activity nationally and internationally and the Finance Officer will be called upon to help the School meet their strategic priorities through financial best practice.

As a successful candidate, you will be educated to degree level or equivalent with a recognised professional qualification in accounting (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). You will have significant experience of financial administration, an understanding of the Higher Education sector, and a proven record of working with senior management teams to set annual budgets and monitor these effectively through the full financial cycle. Excellent problem solving skills and experience of collating and analysing large, varied data sets, are also essential. Experience of using Agresso would be beneficial.

The post is full time and permanent. Consideration will be given to applicants wishing to work on a part time or job share basis. Starting salary will be in the range £36,677 - £43,152 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
