Applications are invited for a one-semester Junior Research Fellowship in German-Swiss Literature in the department of German in the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film at QMUL in the autumn semester 2016/17 (19 September to 16 December 2016) supported by the Max Geilinger Foundation (Zurich) and QMUL. Salary will be £29,610 per annum (£7,388 pro rata) inclusive. Benefits include 30 days annual leave pro rata, defined pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan. Campus accommodation will be provided for the duration of the post.
The successful applicant will pursue a research project on aspects of the reception of German-Swiss literature in the UK since the late 19th century and teach one module on German-Swiss Literature. Applicants will be required to submit a detailed research plan as part of their application (two A4 pages maximum).
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
