About the Role
Applications are invited for the role of Quality Assurance Lead in the Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU) in the newly established Institute of Population Health Science.
The post will involve managing compliance activities through the Quality Management System and report quality metrics to the Management Group. The postholder will work with external stakeholders, such as Chief Investigators, Sponsors and other Clinical Trials Units as well as PCTU Teams to advise on Regulatory requirements, GCP Guidelines and PCTU processes that must be followed when conducting PCTU supported clinical research.
The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time, permanent appointment starting as soon as possible. Starting salary will be in the range of £47,325 - £52,833 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual with previous research experience in Quality Assurance, who wishes to take on a leadership role in the PCTU QA team.
As the Unit works on a range of Trials (CTIMPs, Observational and Interventional Pragmatic trials), a strong experience of working on a variety of studies is required.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

IPHS is a world class, multidisciplinary grouping of academics. Its focus is on population health sciences, spanning public and global health, health services research, health policy, genomics and data science, behavioral and social sciences.
The post will be based in the Centre for Clinical Trials and Methodology (CCTM) – one of the partners of IPHS.
The PCTU has particular expertise in pragmatic trials: trials of interventions as they would be delivered in practice.
You will be managing a team of Quality Assurance Specialists and Clinical Trials Monitors currently working within the unit on a wide variety of trials and observational studies at different stages of their development and completion.
